When you ask gamers what their favorite console of all-time is, chances are that you’ll hear the name Dreamcast pop up with certain regularity. What’s facinating is that despite all it’s awesome features and extreme popularity with gamers, it was considered something of a failure to Sega, and marked their exit from the console gaming market. Well, some guy with a a lot of time on his hands decided that he loved his Dreamcast too much to leave it at home all day, so he turned it into a portable console.
This is the sort of thing that I would expect from Ben Heck, (If you don’t know who he is, you should really Google him, he does awesome mods) however it is not. I don’t actually know who made it, but it’s incredible. The case is vacuum-formed (which is why it looks so good) and features a small LCD screen and a pair of speakers. The discs go in the back, though there isn’t a cover which is almost a bit scary. As for batteries, it uses a pair of 7.2V 3Ah batteries that are normally found inside R/C cars. This is seriously one of the coolest mods I’ve seen in a while.

Microsoft is already adding to the Xbox Originals library, and the new title is a great one: Burnout 3 Takedown.
If, like me, you’re getting antsy waiting for Burnout Paradise, this might be just enough to tide you over, though 1200 points is still awfully pricey. You can grab Burnout 3 starting on Monday.

Sosuke Kamei, the Sony Japan game unit spokes person, has stated that, in order to help boost software development, Sony will be discontinuing the 20 and 60 gig PS3 models leaving the more energy 40 gig model on the shelves. This is after Sony has already discontinued over other 3 models since it’s release in November of ‘06.
[PogoWolf:]
If any other company pulled the plug on so many models this soon after the release of a system that was supposed to take over the world, One would think this company was going under. Now we both know that Sony isn’t going bankrupt, but the need to drop 2 models in Japan says quite a bit about the ’staying power’ of the PS3 around the world. Japan supports it’s consoles with an almost maniacal flair like a rabid dog protecting it’s bone. Dropping down to one model means one thing, the PS3 still can’t find it’s market (outside the fan boys) and is still having a hell of a time getting into the homes of the people.
